1.What would you change about the final product (the wiki you created) if you were to do the assignment again?

The next time we do this project, I would change my spelling mistakes at home, because when I did it at school, I did not have much more time for anything else, like researching. For the rest, I think we did a pretty good job.

2.Look at some of the other wikis from any class and find a few that you think are done exceptionally well. Tell me the name of the empire and the block, and then explain what you like about their wiki.

Mali Empire - Block D

I thin they did a great job, because they had created so many pages, and there was so much information that if you read that whole thing you would know everything! I also really liked their Cooltexts..

Ghana - Block H

I also think these people did a very nice project, because they had nice information, and it was very organized and easy to read. The best page that I liked the most is the home page, I think you guys have a really cool picture!

1. What did you learn from this task?

I learned really much about Zimbabwe. For example, Zimbabwe means “House of stone” in Bantu. Bantu is one of the languages in Zimbabwe by the way. Actually I learned everything about Zimbabwe, because I did not even know it was something! I also learned how tired you get from putting each time the URL underneath each picture…(!)

2.Did you find this difficult or easy why?

Sometimes this project was easy, but mostly hard. It was hard, because I was responseble for the Timeline, and there was hardly any information on the internet. Almost everything was from 1800 and 1900. That is why our Timeline is not that long and big. But it was easy to find information for example, Climate.

3.What would you change about the process you went through to complete the wiki if you were to do the assignment again?

I would really try to put the URLs directly underneath the picture, because that was a real nuisance that I had to find the picture again, and that was not really what you call “nice.” I think I did an Ok job on the other parts of the project.

Title: “Indonesia Floods Leave 100,000 people homeless”

Author: ABC News

Website + Link: http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=2846687&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312

Date I looked at the site: Februari 7th 2007
What new information has emerged?

The information that has emerged is that at least 5 people were killed and 100,000 people are homeless because of the heavy rain which caused a flood in Jakarta, Indonesia. This was the worst flood in 5 years.

What did you find interesting about this topic?

What I found interesting about this article is that really 100,000 people are homeless. I did not know that so many people did not have a home anymore. That must be terrible to not have your own bedroom, bathroom, livingroom ect. I also did not really know that a flood could kill people. Actually I do not really know many things about a flood at all!

What did you like about the initial posting?

I liked how Isobel explained the What is the issue question, because I knew exactly where she was talking about. I also think Isobel used very clear pictures to see what she was talking about. However, I think Isobel did a great job!!Â
